For the third year in a row, Carol and myself went spent Halloween with the Sauriol family in Vancouver. This year I had my Nikon D5100 which performs well when shooting in low light. It’s nice not to have to use a flash and I get some creative results.

I took this photo with a Nikon D5100 and a 70-300 mm Sigma lens at Dr. Sun Yat Sen Gardens in Vancouver, B.C. Canada in September of 2011. A lot of folks tell me that this frog looks as though he smiling. I think so too.

I snapped this photo with my Google Android Nexus S just outside the Christchurch Cathedral. The phone takes fairly decent photos and some of the apps for Android are fairly decent, however I prefer the iPhone apps and the recent release of the Apple iPhone 4S has me considering an upgrade especially after reading about the specs for the camera in it.
